Storyline:

The story follows Jesús, a young farmer from rural Mexico who dreams of playing soccer for his local team, Club Puebla. His father convinces him to leave home for a soccer camp in Los Angeles, but things take a dark turn when Jesús discovers that he has been sold to a sweatshop instead. The sweatshop, run by a ruthless boss known as El Jefe, forces Jesús into exhausting 18-hour workdays. Despite the harsh conditions, Jesús finds a friend in Elena, a girl who was also deceived into coming to America. When Elena disappears and another worker, Carlitos, is beaten for standing up to El Jefe, Jesús knows he must escape, no matter the cost.
