Reasons for the R Rating:
- Language
The film includes strong language throughout, which may be inappropriate for younger audiences. The use of explicit words or phrases can be unsettling for children and may not align with the standards parents want for their children’s viewing. The mature dialogue helps convey the movie’s tone and the raw emotions of the characters, especially in a story dealing with personal struggles and transformation. - Sexual Content
Your Monster contains some scenes with sexual content. While these moments are not overly explicit, they still depict mature themes related to relationships and intimacy. Such content is typically considered unsuitable for younger viewers, as it requires a certain level of maturity to understand the context and emotional dynamics. - Brief Bloody Violence
There are instances of brief bloody violence in the film, which contribute to its horror elements. These scenes may involve the Monster or other characters and can be disturbing for children. Although the violence is not excessively graphic or prolonged, it is still enough to warrant caution for younger audiences.
