Reasons for the 15+ Age Rating:

  1. Thrilling and Intense Themes
Face Me is a mystery thriller that delves into serious themes, such as crime, violence, and emotional trauma. The storyline follows Dr. Cha Jeong U as he helps crime victims through reconstructive surgery, often working alongside a homicide detective. As they investigate these cases, the series presents suspenseful, tension-filled scenes that could be overwhelming for younger viewers.
  2. Violence and Crime Scenes
Face Me includes scenes of crime investigation, which might depict violence or its aftermath. While these scenes are not excessively graphic, they could be disturbing for those under 15. The series explores the challenges and dangers the characters face, creating moments that may not be suitable for younger audiences.
  3. Emotional and Psychological Intensity
The main character, Cha Jeong U, deals with complex emotions following the mysterious death of his loved one. This psychological depth adds a layer of emotional intensity that could be hard for younger viewers to understand. Themes of grief, loss, and the burden of responsibility are central to Jeong U’s journey, which may be better suited for more mature audiences.
  4. Complex Interpersonal Relationships
The show portrays intricate relationships between characters, especially between Jeong U and Detective Lee Min Hyeong. Their differing perspectives on justice, empathy, and their tangled past create thought-provoking, sometimes tense interactions. These complex emotional dynamics are better suited for teens and older viewers who can grasp the nuances.
  5. Social Issues and Moral Dilemmas
Face Me explores moral questions and social responsibilities, especially as Jeong U faces the aftermath of his choices and learns to take responsibility. The series raises ethical questions about medical ethics, justice, and redemption, which are more appropriate for a teenage audience who can understand and process these deeper messages.
