Storyline:
At an elite university in Vermont, students leave for winter break, but the locals and faculty look forward to an exciting tradition: the annual Christmas Bar Trivia Tournament. Celeste (played by Tammin Sursok), a perfectionist and astronomy professor, loves this tournament, as it brings together the magic of Christmas and her love for knowledge.
When her teammate drops out to go on a lecture tour in Asia, Celeste’s team has no choice but to bring on Max (played by Brant Daugherty), the university’s new football coach. Max seems like a big kid at heart, and although Celeste initially doubts him, he adds an important element of sports trivia knowledge to their team—something they’ve always lacked.
As they prepare for the tournament, Celeste and Max take part in fun Christmas activities: scavenger hunts on campus, decorating the international house, baking cookies, and moving forward in the trivia competition. Max’s love for Christmas and his positive outlook start to charm Celeste, and she begins to see him in a new light.
One evening, Max and Celeste share a romantic moment at the campus observatory. Through this connection, Celeste learns that perhaps life’s uncertainties aren’t so bad, and that there’s more to life than always having the answers.
