Storyline:
Wicked tells the previously untold story of Oz’s most misunderstood characters, Elphaba and Glinda. Elphaba, born with green skin and a strong sense of justice, becomes a passionate activist. Her path intertwines with Glinda’s, a privileged and ambitious young woman, at college, where their unlikely friendship blossoms.
As Elphaba discovers unsettling truths about the Wizard and the land of Oz, she fights to right the wrongs of her world. Her decisions lead to tragic consequences, branding her as the “Wicked Witch of the West.” Along the way, the story introduces other familiar characters, such as Fiyero, the charming prince, and Madame Morrible, a powerful sorceress.
Through vibrant storytelling and unforgettable music, Wicked reimagines The Wizard of Oz in a way that highlights the complexity of its characters, revealing that every story has two sides.
